Things you might like to know about traveling to Christmas Island:

The flight to Christmas Island is currently serviced by Air Pacific Airlines. The flight leaves every Tuesday from Honolulu at 12:00 noon and arrives in Christmas Island at about 3:30. The plane is a 737 accommodating 120 passengers.

A travel VISA is no longer required to travel to Christmas Island.

  1. Christmas Island is a 3 hour flight from Honolulu.
  2. Passports are required
  3. Kiribati Immigration will charge $25 US to enter the country and $20 Aus to leave
  4. The plane flies to and from Christmas Island only on Tuesdays, so make sure you plan to stay a week!
  5. Christmas Island is only accessible from Honolulu. Guests should arrive in Honolulu a day early!
